1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Countries for Sale platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aihio Labs Oy ("Company", "we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Countries for Sale is a digital entertainment platform where users can:

• Purchase virtual ownership of digital representations of countries
• Customize their virtual territories with descriptions and images
• View ownership information on an interactive world map

The Service is provided for entertainment purposes only. Virtual territories have no connection to real-world political entities, governments, or land ownership.

3. What You're Actually Buying

When you purchase a "country" on our platform, you acquire:

• Digital Virtual Territory Rights: Exclusive virtual ownership within our platform
• Customization Privileges: The ability to personalize your virtual territory with custom descriptions and images
• Platform Recognition: Your ownership is displayed to all platform users
• Digital Certificate: A digital certificate of ownership

You do NOT acquire:

• Any real-world property rights
• Any political authority or territorial claims
• Any rights outside of this platform

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

5. Digital Content and Right of Withdrawal

This waiver of withdrawal rights is in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

6. Payments and Pricing

• All prices are displayed in the currency shown and include applicable taxes
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• We do not store your payment card details
• Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect completed purchases

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Upload offensive, illegal, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to circumvent security measures
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Content: The Service, including its design, code, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by Aihio Labs Oy and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you upload (descriptions, images). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.

Your Responsibility: You must ensure you have the rights to any content you upload.

9. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain continuous service availability
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice
• Virtual territories remain valid as long as the Service operates

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR and applicable laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for user-generated content

This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Finnish law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aihio Labs Oy from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your content uploaded to the platform
• Your violation of any third-party rights

13. Account Termination

By You: You may delete your account at any time through the Settings menu. Upon deletion, your owned territories are released back to the market.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Serious violations may result in termination without notice or refund.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution:

• We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes amicably
• EU consumers may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
• Disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Finland, or your local courts if required by mandatory consumer protection laws

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
